2012 YEAR OF CHANGE!

Most areas of our lives at some stage will require change. We are not to resist change or change for the sake of it, but we are to assess where change is required. We may need to change habits, mindsets or attitudes. 

One attitude I believe we need to keep in balance is one of servant hood. Too much and we become weary and can burn out. Too little and we become inward looking and self oriented.

 2 Timothy 3:2
New King James Version (NKJV)
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy”
This scripture warns that we are not to become lovers of self. This is where we can become so focused on our own needs that we neglect to see where we can help others. If we are so concerned with our own desires we may miss where God wants us to help others.

Matthew 20:27-29

27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
There will be opportunities this year for us as men to help within the church and community. I encourage you that when you get a text this year to help in areas, keep a good attitude.
