Children’s Ministry

Our leaders are passionate about seeing your children grow in their relationship with God. We want to see them develop and grow their own personal relationship with Him. Our intent is to not only teach the children the practicalities of walking with God but also helping them to find their own passions. We firmly believe that God has a plan for each and every person and feel that now is the perfect time for children to start discovering theirs.

Children's Church is available at the 10.30am service. Children are released to attend after praise and worship. 

Our friendly team will also be around to help you out with any questions you might have.

Founding Pastors Don & Robyn McFarlane

Centre Church began in 1985, with founding Pastors Don and Robyn McFarlane. It was birthed out of the Word of Faith revival, and today is a vibrant, life empowering church which is focused on touching the community and nation with the love and healing power of God.

Pastor Don McFarlane passed away on the 1st November 2008, leaving a wonderful legacy to build on. His leadership qualities were incredible, his love and sacrifice for the church was huge, and his integrity in ministry beyond reproach. Pastor Don had the respect of so many people around New Zealand and in other nations. He had the ability to come alongside people of all walks of life and gain their confidence and respect. His preaching was always inspiring and challenging. He was a man of great wisdom and had the ability to look at a problem, no matter how big or complex, and know instinctively the solution. His legacy continues.

Pastor Robyn continued as Senior Pastor with her passion to encourage believers to recognise they have greatness on the inside of them. As kings and priests, believers are called to rule and reign over darkness, do the ‘greater’ works of Jesus and demonstrate Kingdom culture wherever God has placed them. Through her ministry, Pastor Robyn gained a wealth of wisdom and spiritual understanding. Through her sermons she encouraged us to stand up, stand firm and have faith.

Pastor Robyn McFarlane retired in February 2022, her 37th year, when she appointed Pastors Peter and Lisa Isaacs as Senior Pastors. Pastor Robyn continues to minister at Centre Church and regularly preaches on Sundays.
